Job Title: Part time Temporary ReceptionistPay:£11.44 per hour Hours:8-1pm Thursday and FridaysLocation: outskirts of HarlowDuration: Approx. 4 weeks Position Overview: We are seeking a Temporary Receptionist to join our lovely client on the outskirts of Harlow. As the first point of contact for their organisation, the Receptionist plays a crucial role in representing their values and providing excellent customer service to visitors, donors, and staff. You must be a driver for this role, as the client is in remote location Responsibilities:
  1. Greet visitors warmly and professionally, providing assistance and directing them to the appropriate person or department.
  2. Answer and route incoming calls courteously and efficiently, taking messages as necessary.
  3. Manage incoming and outgoing mail, including sorting, distributing, and preparing outgoing mail.
  4. Maintain a clean and organised reception area, ensuring a welcoming environment for all visitors.
  5. Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including data entry, filing, and photocopying.
  6. Coordinate scheduling of meeting rooms and appointments.
  7. Monitor and maintain office supplies inventory, placing orders as needed.
  8. Uphold confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information.
  9. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operations of the office.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
People skills:
  1. Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role is preferred.
  2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  3. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  5. Detail-oriented with excellent organisational skills.
  6. Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
